INIB

The Institute of Northern Ireland Beekeepers is a nation-wide association affiliated to the BBKA. Annual conference and Honey Show.

BBKA

Promotes the craft of beekeeping and educates the public on the importance of bees in the environment. BBKA holds a large annual Honey Show.

Sam Laverty - You Tube

A You Tube channel with many videos on different aspects of beekeeping.

BeeBase

Animal and Plant Health Agency's (APHA) National Bee Unit website for beekeepers.

FIBKA

The Federation of Irish Beekeepers Associations holds an annual conference and workshops in Gormandstown and represents more than 40 associations.

UBKA - Local Associations

A group of affiliated Beekeeping Associations in Northern Ireland. UBKA has an annual conference with excellent speakers  and a series of webinar recordings. 

Backyard Beekeeping

Dr James Tew's entire publication can be downloaded by clicking on the illustration. Dr Tew visited the club and gave an excellent presentation.

AFBI - Agri-Food & Bioscience

Carries out research and development and statutory, analytical and diagnostic testing. Husbandry surveys and pollinator plans. Register as a beekeeper/apiary.

Bee Connected

A voluntary initiative, supported by the Crop Protection Association, aiming to promote communication between beekeepers and farmers.

Bee Importation

A huge resource that is considered by many to be the world's most comprehensive and authoritative beekeeping website. Dave was disabled in his latter years, with limited physical ability. Following David's passing, site is maintained by Roger Patterson.

BIBBA

This is an initiative organised by the Bee Improvement and Bee Breeders’ Association (BIBBA), with the aims of reducing the number of imports of honey bees into Britain, Ireland and associated islands* and of improving the quality of our honey bees.
